Join the â€œMindful Triathlonâ€ of Wanderlust in DCA mind-meets-body experience like nothing else, thereâ€™s no better way to farewell summer than this special day of mindful exercise and entertainment. Starting with a non-competitive 5K run at 9:30am, Wanderlust 108 is a triathlon dedicated to uniting all aspects of yourself toward mental, physical, and spiritual strength. After waking your heart and lungs on the trail, youâ€™ll breathe your way through a 90-minute outdoor yoga class, led by a pair of instructors and perfect for all skill levels (just be sure to bring your own mat). Your three-tier mind-body retreat then concludes with a tranquil guided meditation session.
You Are Your Only CompetitionCommunity is the heart of Wanderlust, focusing on each participantâ€™s unique needs to lift the whole toward a greater sense of peace. This is done by keeping competition out of the equation throughout the day. A timer is present at the 5K start/finish line for personal motivation only, while a wide range of live music keeps things moving all day. Thereâ€™s even a place for free play, as The Uncommons feature slacklines, dancing, and plenty of space for a variety of lawn games.
